Work will soon be completed on improvements to the Driving Range facilities. An additional covered bay will be built for the pros, as well as toilets and six new outside mat positions. New ball-washing machines have also been purchased.
By the beginning of the summer work will be finished on extensions to the men's changing room in the same style as the present one: the new space will extend into the underground area and will include a Hamam (Turkish bath).
Subsequently, the number of lockers will be increased in the ladies' changing room by enclosing the existing space and removing the railing.
At the same time, the underground extensions to the Club House will be completed: plans include a TV Room and another multi-purpose room.

Our Member Federico Lang, playing with his Portuguese friend Nuno de Brito e Cunha, won the International Spanish Senior Double Championship at the par-72 Bonalba course in Alicante.
In an 18-hole four-ball and 18-hole greensome competition, Federico Lang and Nuno de Brito had rounds of 67 and 72 to win by no fewer than six shots from the second-placed team!

From 1 January 2008 a new rule of golf has been introduced that limits the spring-like effect of drivers for players at all levels.
To help clarify the question of conformity of driver clubfaces, R&A Rules Limited has compiled and published two lists:
The List of Conforming Driver Heads may be accessed by clicking here: all driver heads sold before 1 January 1999 are considered compliant with the limitation on the spring-like effect and so are automatically included in this list.
